Mambo Afro Trio Performing live at Brinktop

Mwase Makalani, Matthew Fargher and Alan Walsh form the trio. Malawi born Mwasi formed the group by bringing together the distinct multi-instrumental talents of a group that marries the music of Malawi and South Africa: Kwela, Mbube with Flamenco. Mwase leads a dynamic, wild and joyous trio, belting out international hits like Miriam Makeba’s Pata Pata alongside old Kwela songs, village songs of Malawi and powerhouse instrumental originals.
