Spring in the Vines
As part of Southern Tasmania’s annual Spring in the Vines Festival we will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Wine tastings, new releases, food, live music, guest vineyard and a classy “sip and paint” offering on Saturday morning.
FRIDAY
Wine tastings of the Brinktop wines with Todd and Gill, Brinktop growers + makers
SATURDAY
9.30 to 11.30 am Water Colours and Wine. Join a small group for an enjoyable morning of watercolour painting and wine. The talented artist Jodi Chivers will guide your artistic journey and assist you along the way. Whether you're a budding artist or just looking for a relaxing escape, this session promises inspiration, indulgence, and fun.
11 am to 3 pm (or until sold out) cheese and nibbling platters by PW Catering.
$30 Mixed Grazing Platter to feed 1-2 people
$40 Cheese Platter to feed 2-4 people

Guest vineyard - say hello to Tim and Hannah from Burnside Vineyard (Six Friends Wines) up the road. They will be offering sparkling, Pinot Noir and their top notch home grown olive oil
12 noon Robbie’s Wood Fired Pizza till 3pm (or sold out)
3pm live music, grazing plates, cheese and wine till late
LONG LUNCH @ Brinktop by La Sardina Loca
Josh Carver and Head Chef Pat, legends of the Hobart hospitality scene, will be catering a sumptuous 4 course lunch at Brinktop Vineyard. Bookings essential, limited seating.
Spring in the Vines Wine Festival
Spring in the Vines wine festival, Southern Tasmania. Dust off winter and head to your local vineyards to see the vines bursting into life preparing for the 2024 vintage. Taste new releases, meet the makers and stock your cellar ready for upcoming summer celebrations.
Mambo Afro Trio
Mwase Makalani, Matthew Fargher and Alan Welsh
The Mambo Afro Trio formed around Mwase Makalni from Malawi to bring together the distinct multi-instrumental talents of a group that marries the music of Malawi and South Africa: Kwela, Mbube with Flamenco. Mwase leads a dynamic, wild and joyous trio, belting out international hits like Miriam Makeba’s Pata Pata alongside old Kwela songs of Malawi and powerhouse instrumental originals.
Frank Barta solo guitar and vocals
Frank's solo guitar/vocal set will cover a range of styles drifting between ballads, country, blues and jazz dishing up favourite standards and hidden gems. His influences include Tom Waites, James Taylor, Mark Knopfler and Bill Withers. Frank loves wine and good company and is sure to get the weekend off to a great start.
Paella Lunch
The La Sardina Loca team will have the paella pans ready for you @ Brinktop Vineyard. Saturday March the 4th and Sunday March 5th as part of the Souther Open Vineyards Weekend 2023
Meet the wine maker
Meet the maker - wine tastings and sales
Come along and chat to Todd about the wines he makes while you taste. The full Brinktop line up will be on offer: Sparkling Rose, Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Syrah.
All wines are 100% single site wines made from grapes grown on the Brinktop Vineyard. Tastings will be offered in the winery where the wine is made.
